Minister at the Richmond Presbyterian Church, Reverend Young Tae Choi carries a drive to bring together his interests in art, ministry, and culture. An artist since youth and a former filmmaker of Korean films with projects such as In Love and War (2011) under his belt, what moved Rev. Choi to leave the industry and become a pastor? Even now, Rev. Choi continues to search for ways to add his long-time passion for the arts into the ministry, working to cultivate the gifts of young artists into something meaningful.
About The Artist
Rev. Young Tae Choi is a pastor, educator, and artist. He is passionate about working at the intersection of art, ministry, and culture. He has more than 10 years experience in teaching and making visual arts and film in Vancouver, Seoul, New York, and Ulaanbaatar. He also has more than 10 years experience in leading Christian communities. Currently, he serves as Director of Poieo Centre. He lives in Langley, BC., with his wife and their daughter. Young Tae loves theology, art, and ice cream.
